Erika Schickel

Erika Schickel is the author of You’re Not the Boss of Me: Adventures of a Modern Mom. She is a contributor to daily newspapers, alternative weeklies, websites and op-ed pages including Tin House, Los Angeles Review of Books, Anthem Journal, L.A. Observed, and L.A. Weekly. Erika teaches memoir writing at the UCLA Extension Writer’s Program. She is currently finishing her second book, The Big Hurt, a memoir of romance in a post-romantic age. Erika resides in Los Angeles.
